This was noted this morning that the Road Commission for Oakland County had some concerns with this, and when routed to the police departments, they noted that an officer should be requested to maintain vehicle access along the road, and they did not recommend full closure. And with that, I'd be happy to answer any questions the board may have. I see our police departments here. Do they want to make a comment on this at all? Sure, we had a discussion. Heather, come on up to the podium. Would you introduce yourself? Thank you. Sure. Thank you. Thank you. I need to say my name. Officer Glovach from the Township Police Department. G-L-O-W-A-C-Z. It's common spelling, right? Call me Heather. But our concern is if we shut down the whole road, that's going to be an issue. And we believe that if we have officers there, we can make the closure when it needs to be and then have the road open the rest of the time. So intermittently. Correct. Anytime that the buses are dropping off the kids just for safety. We do

Anytime that the buses are dropping off the kids just for safety. We do require at least one officer. We're suggesting two just because the road does have an incline, right? So if we have to have one on each side just for visibility and safety. So that's our only suggestion. Everything else is okay. And that would be a full-time officer there? Yeah. For the whole event? They said they're going to be there until 10 p.m.? Yeah, so it looks like a 12-hour and a 14-hour day. It could probably be split up between multiple officers, but police presence the whole time. Especially because there's a large number of attendees. I know you have security staff and all that, but we are also concerned for everyone's safety with that amount of children. And would we assign somebody from our shift at that time? No, it would be an overtime detail. Okay. And would we be compensated for that? Yeah. Every time we have outside events, they're compensated for it. The event hires them. Okay. Yes. and even I mean closing the road is not even within our purview anyway no that's from the Road Commission so that's up to them and it's not something again we don't recommend that either so thank you you're welcome okay I know there's members of Forest Lake are you would you like to make a comment Jackie or if you

How many clubs participate in the event? Six. Six? Yes. And who's the favorite going into the... Forest Lake. Yes, right. Forest Lake. Wow, you had to ask that one, huh? It's got at least be a Bloomfield one, maybe Birmingham Athletic Club. They're not part of it. They're not part of this one? They have their own. I think the only one is is Forest Lake and Bloomfield, isn't it? It's Forest Lake, B-O-H, Birmingham. That's in the Harris. Birmingham is in the town show. Yeah, yeah. And who else? Pine Lake, Orchard Lake, and Meadowbrook. Wow, quite a group. But Forest Lake is... All right, we're pulling for you. We're pulling for you. Any other questions? No. I assume that the alcohol would still be served through your normal activity, your normal bars or whatever? Yes. And nobody would be able to take it outside? Off-premise, no. Or like walk around? Outside by the traffic? No. Okay. They'll be in the back of the house, lakeside. I move we approve the application as presented. All support? All in favor, say aye. Aye. Any opposed? It passes 3-0. Good luck. Great luck. Thank you very much. Lots of fun. Yep. Lots of fun. Okay, general business.
