Would anyone like to remove an item from the consent agenda? Not I, nor me. I got a motion to approve the order of items. So moved. Second. All in favor? Aye. Wonderful. Presidential Court, I guess two things for me. One is easy. That is the budget on camera. I just wanted to say how impressed I am with the budget we've gotten. I mean, it's detailed. It is accurate. It has got insight. Each of the items roll into the others. It's a ton of work, and I really appreciate everybody's help who put that together. Thank you. And the other is hard. It's the, you know, we think of our library as the center of our community. In many ways, each of our houses of worship are centers of our community, too. And having that attack, you know, blocks away of Temple Israel. That's where my nephews got bar mitzvahed. And, you know, it's an attack on the whole community. And I just wanted to acknowledge the loss of security for the people in the place that they love, even though, mercifully, nobody was significantly hurt other than the victim, other than the culprit, but I just wanted to recognize the loss that they've suffered in their center. Well said. And I'll let you... I was going to also acknowledge that a violent attack on Temple Israel and just say that similar sentiments, I mean, I just feel like this was meant to sell fear into the Jewish community and the whole Westfield community and all of Southeast Michigan, really, and that it's just an ugly thing. And it was a harrowing couple of hours here at the library when we didn't know what was going on, and we were worried about our friends, family, people that we know at Temple Israel and in West Bloomfield, but I'm just glad that the teachers and all the staff at the temple had been trained on what to do and that there weren't more injuries, so just healing vibes to that community as they rebuild and move forward. I think I had one of those cousins I just mentioned, they did know that there was an outpouring of support from the Kelly Union here that gave them donated cookies.

Shenandoah has been across the street from Temple Israel for 40 years. My husband and I used to work for the caterer there, and he was a chef there for over 10 years, and it's really an incredible testimony, I think, to the whole community that Shenandoah has always been there. and vice versa for both groups. And I think that's a lesson we should all... take away. Sure. Nice interfaith cooperation. Absolutely. Absolutely. Yeah. Well, in spite of all that, March is a month with lots to celebrate and honor. It's Women's History Month. It's still Reading Month, which we're still celebrating with groups of kindergarten students and District 1 book events. I was invited to be a guest reader at Conant Elementary School last week, which is super fun. What did you read? I read Cranky Krabby Crow Saves the World. Oh. And Lena is a chicken, but also a dinosaur. And Catherine will tell you that I was terrified to do this. You know, present a budget, no problem. Read to kindergartners. But it turned out to be really good. Did you have to step in? I did not. I did not. She gave me a lot of moral support. Good.

It was very fun. That is great titles. The titles are great. Friday is the start of spring, even though today doesn't really feel that way. This week is Severe Weather Awareness Week, and we are very aware of the severe weather. then i walk in i'm like is this just kids dancing and they're like yeah the teachers might dance i'm like did you ask keith to go with you keith would have known there you go that's funny um this week also marked the deadline for the photo contest submission this is our 10th annual photo contest the deadline was sunday 71 photographers submitted 123 photos on the theme is it the largest it's pretty high i don't know 70 there pretty pretty good at my house our theme this year was small wonders um which invited people to capture the tiny details that might go unnoticed in our world um voting for the people's choice award starts next week so pay attention to our website so you can place your votes the uh professional judges will also be reviewing the photos to pick best in show and the first second third place in the youth teen and adult categories and then all those winners will be revealed on saturday April 18th at 2 p.m. at the reception and you're all invited to come to that same judges as last year yeah Nancy Eric Keller and Lori Tennant 10 years in a row these three have been getting together and reviewing all these photos and providing really nice comments on them a topic that's been very talked about in the library world is the possibility of visits from immigration and customs enforcement officers or ice I mean we've seen this play out in larger cities across the country and so of course staff are on edge about what would happen if ice officers were to visit the library so we attended some webinars a couple weeks ago that featured the director of the Hennepin County Library which is the library that serves Minneapolis and the surrounding communities may of course just endured a very long and large presence of ice officers so they have a lot to say about this topic essentially I will be telling staff that we treat this like any other law enforcement interaction you know they need warrants to get any information about library patrons or to go into staff areas and the library director is the only person who can really provide that access I have also met with chief Gallagher the chief of police for Bloomfield Township Police Department a lot of competition

He also said the likelihood of any kind of ICE raid at this library is highly unlikely so it's good to have that reassurance. We have a staff training plan for April at which I will talk to all staff about this topic and our PIC group or the people in charge of the library. We'll talk about it tomorrow morning. I mentioned several months ago that I was forming a committee of library staff to review artificial intelligence and its use in the public library. That committee was made up of several staff members from all different departments of all different positions and it was led by our very own Lyndon. She chaired the committee and led the group through several conversations, a lot of research, a lot of dialogue about this topic. They drafted a policy for the library and they drafted a learning plan and the MAC group which is what we call our leadership group of the department heads has been reviewing those documents and having conversations about how to proceed. I'm planning to refine the policy and present it to you all this fall so we'll be talking a lot more about that in the next couple of months and providing more training for staff too. Would that eventually fall under one of the committee . . . . . that we serve on could you see that under anything probably just policies procedures if you were to do any procedure work yeah policy for sure yeah okay yeah I think there's gonna be a combination of a standalone policy and then integrating how we work with AI and other policies like our collection development policies okay gotcha okay um and then I just wanted to mention that last Friday's chamber music concert had to be canceled due to the severe weather the high winds so that was disappointing but I think it was prudent and that's all I had to report okay wonderful thank you uh turning to the budget um I'll leave my comments first I guess do you want to talk about the tracking of the design project on your report right now yeah I can talk about it now um so Shane was interested in tracking the finances of our library design project which I think is a great idea in your gray folder there is a draft report I've never done anything like

I think is a great idea in your gray folder there is a draft report I've never done anything like this before so I'm just sort of toddling this together in fact I use my trusty pal Gemini to help me come up with more math um speaking of AI speaking of AI so there's there's kind of two components to this this page is a page tracking all the payments that we've made so far on this project and then I'll track you know progress milestone you keep you updated on what's happening with the whole context of the project as well I'll probably refine this report as we go and work with Shane to adequately do so but Kathy did create a separate account in our accounts to track this specifically so we'll be keeping it let me know if there's something that you want to hear about or if there's any feedback on this report and then on the expenses I just have a few I didn't recognize on page 5 Arbor Oakland Group Farmington Community Library value line in the loss yeah Arbor Oakland Group is a printing company that prints our print newsletter Farmington Community Library is Farmington Community Library they are the fiduciary how do you feel right now they're the fiduciary for Metro which is our news consortium that we purchase a lot of technology through and this was a big invoice for I don't know like five or six databases that we purchased through Metro that's why it's $10,000 what was the other value line is a investment publication it's a very good one and it is a good one velocity e hs is a subscription for safe materials safety data sheets could we just go back to this really quick um so for hard construction so that would mean anything that's electric um plumbing if we had any um walls anything so that really covers that whole thing so what you may want to do once this starts feeding out is maybe break it down into

a few I didn't recognize on page 5 Arbor Oakland Group Farmington Community Library value line in the loss yeah Arbor Oakland Group is a printing company that prints our print newsletter Farmington Community Library is Farmington Community Library they are the fiduciary how do you feel right now they're the fiduciary for Metro which is our news consortium that we purchase a lot of technology through and this was a big invoice for I don't know like five or six databases that we purchased through Metro that's why it's $10,000 what was the other value line is a investment publication it's a very good one and it is a good one velocity e hs is a subscription for safe materials safety data sheets could we just go back to this really quick um so for hard construction so that would mean anything that's electric um plumbing if we had any um walls anything so that really covers that whole thing so what you may want to do once this starts feeding out is maybe break it down into what the components are sure so that um if people do ask like well how much was the electricity because that's all behind the scenes that people don't need to see so you get to see the sexy things out front the new furniture but if you could break that down i think once it starts going sure okay i agree i was thinking the same thing like we we don't really know some of those correct but yes we do that would probably be because that's such a big thing that's going on there so different from the furniture way to chalk it out do you guys think i should put this in the packet that we put on the website and make public or would you rather i wouldn't i wouldn't at this point because we're still we don't know how much you know we we're still in that we're vacillating between one amount and another yeah yeah i don't think it's then i'll just i think for our bedification though for now it would be great if if we had those kind of budgeted just to kind of know and then to your point as they start to be formulated more further right if that that sounded terrible if they as we know them if they could be put in there but I would be interested because it's like you know we've spent a big chunk of money and yeah there's like a huge piece
-
whole thing so what you may want to do once this starts feeding out is maybe break it down into what the components are sure so that um if people do ask like well how much was the electricity because that's all behind the scenes that people don't need to see so you get to see the sexy things out front the new furniture but if you could break that down i think once it starts going sure okay i agree i was thinking the same thing like we we don't really know some of those correct but yes we do that would probably be because that's such a big thing that's going on there so different from the furniture way to chalk it out do you guys think i should put this in the packet that we put on the website and make public or would you rather i wouldn't i wouldn't at this point because we're still we don't know how much you know we we're still in that we're vacillating between one amount and another yeah yeah i don't think it's then i'll just i think for our bedification though for now it would be great if if we had those kind of budgeted just to kind of know and then to your point as they start to be formulated more further right if that that sounded terrible if they as we know them if they could be put in there but I would be interested because it's like you know we've spent a big chunk of money and yeah there's like a huge piece out there sorry it'd be kind of nice to know how much is hard construction hypothetically in in the budgeted amount what is hard construction what's furniture woods because I think we have some of those it's still being developed yeah Catherine and I are going to meet with the C2AE and McCarthy and Smith team next Tuesday we're gonna have a we have a very we have like four hours blocked we're gonna really dig into the numbers dig into a couple weeks ago we've met with them a couple times okay but where there's disparity between the budget that C2AE came up with and the budget that McCarthy and shouldn't they be on here in McCarthy is there not a designer oh the professional fees okay so you may want to if they're under the professional fees maybe give us yeah I will break that out yeah okay we're entering a good phase yes okay thank you for doing that and on the budget itself on page seven the 11 month budget it I think it's consistent with what we saw last time it's we're looking good because we're slow of our product project spend
-
you know we've spent a big chunk of money and yeah there's like a huge piece out there sorry it'd be kind of nice to know how much is hard construction hypothetically in in the budgeted amount what is hard construction what's furniture woods because I think we have some of those it's still being developed yeah Catherine and I are going to meet with the C2AE and McCarthy and Smith team next Tuesday we're gonna have a we have a very we have like four hours blocked we're gonna really dig into the numbers dig into a couple weeks ago we've met with them a couple times okay but where there's disparity between the budget that C2AE came up with and the budget that McCarthy and shouldn't they be on here in McCarthy is there not a designer oh the professional fees okay so you may want to if they're under the professional fees maybe give us yeah I will break that out yeah okay we're entering a good phase yes okay thank you for doing that and on the budget itself on page seven the 11 month budget it I think it's consistent with what we saw last time it's we're looking good because we're slow of our product project spend but anybody got anything else on the I do not I'm glad though you clarified the library okay there's a motion which I'm happy to move and read on page 10 I move to approve monthly cash disbursements in the forward and check numbers noted for a grand total of five hundred twenty nine thousand three hundred eighty four dollars and fifteen cents in the categories noted second all in favor then a motion to approve the remaining consent agenda items so moved second all in favor aye that was passed we're kind of slow on the uptake here I like seeing my name in print thank you for paying attention Jane Jane Burshey is our SOC representative she's one of the administration library assistants and Paul's here to talk about the IT center you are okay so last week we had a bingo event so that raised a hundred dollars in cash I'm not
-
but anybody got anything else on the I do not I'm glad though you clarified the library okay there's a motion which I'm happy to move and read on page 10 I move to approve monthly cash disbursements in the forward and check numbers noted for a grand total of five hundred twenty nine thousand three hundred eighty four dollars and fifteen cents in the categories noted second all in favor then a motion to approve the remaining consent agenda items so moved second all in favor aye that was passed we're kind of slow on the uptake here I like seeing my name in print thank you for paying attention Jane Jane Burshey is our SOC representative she's one of the administration library assistants and Paul's here to talk about the IT center you are okay so last week we had a bingo event so that raised a hundred dollars in cash I'm not sure how much was collected through PayPal but there was $25 price and then it's to the jury's suggestion reminding us we're gonna have a purses and more bazaar next week oh good in our staff lounge yay and then as far as casual day funds for the month of January and February we sent 116 dollars to Learning Ally and then for March and April the casual day funds will go to the Library of Michigan Foundation and the last thing is on Friday March 27th we'll have our transition meeting to pass the baton on to the newly elected SoC which is which will be Anna so she's gonna stay on and then Kathy W because I don't know how to pronounce your last name and Admin and Allison who is on Adult Services

center you are okay so last week we had a bingo event so that raised a hundred dollars in cash I'm not sure how much was collected through PayPal but there was $25 price and then it's to the jury's suggestion reminding us we're gonna have a purses and more bazaar next week oh good in our staff lounge yay and then as far as casual day funds for the month of January and February we sent 116 dollars to Learning Ally and then for March and April the casual day funds will go to the Library of Michigan Foundation and the last thing is on Friday March 27th we'll have our transition meeting to pass the baton on to the newly elected SoC which is which will be Anna so she's gonna stay on and then Kathy W because I don't know how to pronounce your last name and Admin and Allison who is on Adult Services leaving us thank you though the firewall well I'll go through the summary of this and Paul is here for support and to answer any questions that I can't answer but I'll just review what's in the memo obviously we have a firewall at the library most large IT networks do it is our first defense against threats and it's all the internet traffic flows in and out of the firewall our current firewall reaches its end of life at the end of August and so it will no longer be supported or get updates and that's obviously a really bad thing so we want to replace it pretty soon so Paul has been working with our longtime IT partners Sentinel Technologies to explore different options for upgrading the firewall they've looked at the top options which are Palo Alto Fortinet Meraki and Cisco they've weighed the pros and cons of each option and
-
because I don't know how to pronounce your last name and Admin and Allison who is on Adult Services leaving us thank you though the firewall well I'll go through the summary of this and Paul is here for support and to answer any questions that I can't answer but I'll just review what's in the memo obviously we have a firewall at the library most large IT networks do it is our first defense against threats and it's all the internet traffic flows in and out of the firewall our current firewall reaches its end of life at the end of August and so it will no longer be supported or get updates and that's obviously a really bad thing so we want to replace it pretty soon so Paul has been working with our longtime IT partners Sentinel Technologies to explore different options for upgrading the firewall they've looked at the top options which are Palo Alto Fortinet Meraki and Cisco they've weighed the pros and cons of each option and decided that Cisco's product firepower is the best option for us for a couple of reasons the staff already knows Cisco products and the transition would be much smoother to just move forward with that one and it's a priced affordably we currently only have one firewall Paul is proposing that we add a second firewall for redundancy in case of a failure of one and also that would make updates and upgrades much easier if we had one to run and one that we could update which I think is a good idea we'd also be moving the firewall to Cisco's cloud platform which has its advantages as well where is the oh it's in the server room yeah so right now we have the firewall appliance that's in the server room and then we have a virtual server running firepower and so this new system will have the physical appliance in the server room and then firepower in the cloud so Sentinel Technologies has quoted a total cost for this project at $36,521 which is over the $25,000 threshold that we use to decide whether we're
-
Fortinet Meraki and Cisco they've weighed the pros and cons of each option and decided that Cisco's product firepower is the best option for us for a couple of reasons the staff already knows Cisco products and the transition would be much smoother to just move forward with that one and it's a priced affordably we currently only have one firewall Paul is proposing that we add a second firewall for redundancy in case of a failure of one and also that would make updates and upgrades much easier if we had one to run and one that we could update which I think is a good idea we'd also be moving the firewall to Cisco's cloud platform which has its advantages as well where is the oh it's in the server room yeah so right now we have the firewall appliance that's in the server room and then we have a virtual server running firepower and so this new system will have the physical appliance in the server room and then firepower in the cloud so Sentinel Technologies has quoted a total cost for this project at $36,521 which is over the $25,000 threshold that we use to decide whether we're gonna put it out an RFP for something Paul and I have talked about this quite a bit and think that it's best to just go forward with purchasing this through Sentinel and without the RFP process so I have I'm asking for your permission to do that IT staff have already done a lot of legwork to evaluate all the options and have decided that this is the best one Sentinel is a trusted vendor of ours they know our network really well they know our staff we know them they're great to work with and then if we can skip the RFP process that shaves off three months from this project which would get us our firewall up and running well before August 31st so we can meet that deadline so that is the request before you now and it Paul can answer any deep technological questions that I can't I have a question because I first when I saw firewall I thought you were going to firewall around like a moat around the building that's now but is this like a lease and how long is this how long is this contract or is this up every year so there's a how does this work how long do we have this so we'll be purchasing the appliance which always have there is some licensing involved with that okay and the fire power cloud service would be yearly okay because you said this one is running out

which is over the $25,000 threshold that we use to decide whether we're gonna put it out an RFP for something Paul and I have talked about this quite a bit and think that it's best to just go forward with purchasing this through Sentinel and without the RFP process so I have I'm asking for your permission to do that IT staff have already done a lot of legwork to evaluate all the options and have decided that this is the best one Sentinel is a trusted vendor of ours they know our network really well they know our staff we know them they're great to work with and then if we can skip the RFP process that shaves off three months from this project which would get us our firewall up and running well before August 31st so we can meet that deadline so that is the request before you now and it Paul can answer any deep technological questions that I can't I have a question because I first when I saw firewall I thought you were going to firewall around like a moat around the building that's now but is this like a lease and how long is this how long is this contract or is this up every year so there's a how does this work how long do we have this so we'll be purchasing the appliance which always have there is some licensing involved with that okay and the fire power cloud service would be yearly okay because you said this one is running out of the one that we currently have will not be supported so how long then if we were to purchase this usually it lasts the support and I don't know how to ask these questions but yeah there's a beginning middle and end yeah so this will be a new firewall so um what I do know is the firewall that we've had now we've had since I've been here so eight years nine years and we had it for a few years before that okay so it does have a long life yes Cisco products typically last I would say 12 years okay so yeah about that all right I'm kind of guessing because I don't know for sure but okay thank you I think the other question would be along those lines of the quote of the 36,000 I can see some as professional services is any of this subscription versus hardware yes the Cisco cloud licensing that would be the subscription aspect of it but the the heart of the firewalls and switch would be the purchase okay so that would be a yearly yes okay sounds good well my sense of the the RFP process works so well like you're getting all those vendors in but even if we save 10% right you you Thank you.

power cloud service would be yearly okay because you said this one is running out of the one that we currently have will not be supported so how long then if we were to purchase this usually it lasts the support and I don't know how to ask these questions but yeah there's a beginning middle and end yeah so this will be a new firewall so um what I do know is the firewall that we've had now we've had since I've been here so eight years nine years and we had it for a few years before that okay so it does have a long life yes Cisco products typically last I would say 12 years okay so yeah about that all right I'm kind of guessing because I don't know for sure but okay thank you I think the other question would be along those lines of the quote of the 36,000 I can see some as professional services is any of this subscription versus hardware yes the Cisco cloud licensing that would be the subscription aspect of it but the the heart of the firewalls and switch would be the purchase okay so that would be a yearly yes okay sounds good well my sense of the the RFP process works so well like you're getting all those vendors in but even if we save 10% right you you Thank you. brand it's not worth the brain damage that you guys have to go through to do that it's not lost on anyone you have 30 proposals now what are you going to do so I totally agree on waving that well it sounds like you've done so much work pre this so yeah there's not an advantage to the library to do the process yeah a bigger project sure yeah we just got any questions no for my own part it's great it's all great I hope somebody knows is you know the firewall around the library right it's the same thing just for our network gotcha protecting us kind of in a similar way is it the tortilla of the burrito yeah actually it's a good now I once attended a webinar that had a analogy of an a seven-layer security burrito of IT network security so we use that a lot did they serve burritos at the end then no man that would have been great mr

there's a motion on page I have it I moved to approve the replacement of the firewall using Cisco firepower and engaging with sentinel technologies to five five zero Warrenville Road Downers Grove Illinois 605.5 second thank you so much thank you thank you all right let's talk about our budget we've already talked about this a couple weeks ago at our budget work session so I'm just gonna review this really quickly and really high level we are tonight looking at the 2025-2026 amended budget for the general fund and gift fund and the proposed budget for 2026-2027 general fund as well so just to recap the revenues in the amendments we're making to the 2025 budget is to decrease the revenues by two hundred and thirty one thousand dollars and that's due to investment earnings coming in a little bit lower than we anticipated expenditures are increasing by a hundred and thirty thousand dollars and that was due to increases in building insurance postage and unexpected and quite costly HVAC repairs so we had to bump that up a little bit but the revenues still exceeded expenditures and so are you you fund balance is increasing by $1.3 million. That is also increasing because some planned capital projects were either moved forward into the new fiscal year or just not pursued. In August when we did our public budget hearing, we asked for the full assessment of the two approved mills, which as we discussed at our budget workshop had been lowered by Headley to 1.8433 and so that was what was levied this winter on our tax bill. The library continues to be in very sound financial condition and we can do all the projects that we want to do in the next couple of years. So moving on to the 2026-2027 budget, projected revenues are expected to increase

The library continues to be in very sound financial condition and we can do all the projects that we want to do in the next couple of years. So moving on to the 2026-2027 budget, projected revenues are expected to increase by $585,000 and that's mostly due to an increase in anticipated property tax revenues. I'm very grateful to all the residents for paying their taxes and supporting the library in this way. Expenditures are proposed to increase by $309,000 and I'll go through the different categories of why that increase is there. Personnel expenditures will increase by $318,000 and that's due to a 3% wage increase, increases in health insurance premiums. You might recall that we increased the amount that we're giving to the retirement fund for those of us who are not on the pension. program and then the the minimum wage increase also impacted us staff so that's the reason for the increase in that category that's the biggest increase well besides capital projects library services is nearly flat just a small increase of nine hundred and eighty four dollars and I really have to give it to Laura Craley and John Taggart for nitpicking that budget and really trying to balance what you know print media and other things that are kind of that we're shifting money away from those things to digital resources we're probably going

Total operating expenditures are estimated to be $8,139,536. And expenditures, including capital expenditures, are estimated to be $14,582,383.

shifting money away from those things to digital resources we're probably going to see an increase in this category next year though facilities and equipment increased well it decreased compared to the amended budget but it's increasing compared to what we thought we would spend last year and that's due to just fees of supplies and services are increasing other operating expenditures is increasing a little bit as well and that's mostly due to postage and printing but we are not we anticipate a lot less need for the accounting support services as Kathy is now up to speed so that that particular category was reduced capital projects is the big one that's increasing by five point five million dollars and this is primarily due to the library design project and we have some other building and IT projects such as the firewall that we want to accomplish this here as well so library revenues are estimated to be eleven million two hundred $83,687 for fiscal year 2026-2027. And the fund balance, we estimate to be $17,821,346 at the end of the year. You meant $438,000 on the 14,000. You said $338,000. Oh, $5,82, you're right. $438,000. A little dyslexic there, yeah. And then the gift fund is, we don't assume any revenue in our gift fund, the only, except for the Meyer Scholarship money that we get from the fund. The Community Foundation of Southeast Michigan. We just track that on a monthly basis and report it out to you. That is my very, very quick overview of the budget. As Shane said, it is a lot of work to put this budget together, but it takes a village. Kathy does the heavy lifting of all this work. Our department heads scrutinize every line item in the detail page. Catherine and Lyndon play a very important supporting role. And, of course, you all, this is your, one of your top three jobs that you do. So, I thank you for your review and your questions and your scrutiny on it as well. Thank you. Thank you.

their action is focused in birmingham in the downtown okay it's birmingham yeah yeah but i do know that they have a small pocket of um young entrepreneurs and i spoke at one of their groups and they're very savvy and they truly they're an active group they are very active yeah so they kept asking me to join okay well and presumably they all work in the area so it would be an opportunity to let them know yeah they could get a library card yeah they've been active with the schools previously so typically when they're doing an event involving the schools or educational or non-profit organizations we're a little more yeah tuned in with with that from time to time they offer an interesting training and staff will go to it and they're also very good about if we ever have another gala or gala um they buy tickets so they're a good group to reach out to who's going to the friends board meeting oh that was i wanted to know if somebody could do that for me i would really appreciate it if that's not possible meeting with my boss oh that's right is that possible what time does it start thank you for mentioning that 10 30. yes did i did i not bring joy i will go turn uh thank you so much yeah where do i go here okay if you join via zoom if you want to no i'm just yeah because i'll be right in birmingham i just have to change one thing but i can just move that up okay so wait that's um downstairs or in the street right here yeah okay yeah then we'll get back up here yeah 10 30. i have there's a gentleman in the complaint sorry comments this was a complaint his name was charles i tried to find him but i didn't try too hard but um i this reminded me of the complaint we had three four months ago and just because we're public servants doesn't mean we have to tolerate abuse from our patrons and i think you know i would encourage i saw the responses and they were measured um way more measured than i would have been but he if you guys didn't look at it he was making you know suggestions such that we have the highest taxes in the world and we're you know book discarding is our number one objective which is not true if you just look you can see the book collection has increased i'd be a little more terse with people like that you know we'll try it's hard for us i know it's just it's frustrating he went through a couple levels yeah he did of staff before it got bumped to me and i gave my one response and he wrote an essay back and i stopped

Yeah, because he checked out some items, requested some items. He wanted these crazy textbooks, and he wanted us to buy them for him. But I thought the responses were all good. His hard job is not to make such, you know, the- It's providing access is what he was not understanding yet. And he never did respond to the question, do you want us to look it up on whatever that system is? Right. He just wanted to tirade something. Oh, here it is. I think that was all I had. Anybody else got any others? No, I'm glad they finally cleaned the pots out just a little bit. And things are starting to pop up, so there we go. Yeah, they are, yeah, yeah. When are we going to start looking at the north side? It's warmer. Yeah, really. I'm glad that he's still there. Maybe. Tom and Jim have been talking. Tom said that Jim had been asking him when he could start, so- Jim Slizinski?

Tom said that Jim had been asking him when he could start, so- Jim Slizinski? Mm-hmm. Okay. Yeah. Well, because I think- Do you want to have some kind of input on that? Do you want to- I would, yeah, if you don't mind. But I think one of the reasons why Jim is starting is because if we buy multiples, you want to buy it's kind of that lot, so that they've all been growing at the same time and all of these things, so that's probably why. Yeah. So we will. So. Along the lines of what happened- at Temple Israel. Do we need to be looking at our security? I mean, I know you, you know, you, it sounds like you made some inquiries and stuff such, but I just don't, I just don't know. Made me think about it, obviously. I, yeah, I was thinking to myself, could somebody drive a car into the library. And I was thinking, you know, that early childhood area is right off the parking lot. Maybe, maybe when we redo the parking lot, we could look at putting some bollards. I can never say that word. You can also do something much more decorative that doesn't,
